Match Report: Park Lane vs. Moorlands

Final Score: Park Lane 6 – 1 Moorlands (Half Time: 2 – 1)

In our very first game of the year, Park Lane delivered a very accomplished performance against Moorlands. For most of the boys—if not all—this was their first time ever representing the school in a football match, and they did us all proud despite the score line.

The team played with tremendous heart, spirit, and positivity throughout the entire match. They never let their heads drop, continuously supporting one another, taking shared responsibility, and encouraging each other from the first whistle to the last.

Standout Highlights

• Rome had an outstanding first half between the posts, making critical saves to keep us ahead and lay the groundwork for our victory.
• Rieley delivered a stellar performance in defence, tackling hard and playing with absolute confidence (just don’t try to catch the ball in the box again 😉)
• Jaxson was a rock at the back, managing the defensive line and distributing the ball brilliantly up the pitch.
• Kailen opened the scoring with a fantastic strike to get our season underway.
• Aiden dazzled the crowd on the wing at times, going on some mazy runs right down the line.

Every single player contributed to a brilliant team effort. While there is always room to learn and improve, it was a promising start to the season!
