World Book Day 2025

What an amazing week we've had!

Book Swap

It was great to see the children's enthusiasm and listening to their chat as they chose their new books. We hope they all enjoy reading them! Thank you to all of the parents who donated books. 

Live author

KS1 loved meeting author and illustrator Laura Baker online with lots of other schools for a live story and draw along. They produced some brilliant pictures of Frank the full stop from her picture book 'The Full Stop that Got Away'.

Spoons

We've all loved seeing the children's amazing book character creations on wooden spoons! So much imagination and creativity. Congratulations to all of our children who took part - we really were completely blown away!

 Diversity Books

We were lucky enough to be visited by John Ryan and Dave Evans from Reading Football Club who presented us with a wide selection of awesome books that represent many of our protected characteristics. We know that the children will love reading the new books!

Theatre Visit

On Friday, we were visited by M & M theatre group who put on a fantastic, interactive performance of Oliver. All of the children from Reception to Year 6 loved the songs, acting and participation!

Other activities

All of our children enjoyed dressing up as favourite book character or coming to school in their comfiest clothes to enjoy lots of books throughout the week. It was great to see the older children reading with the younger children and all of the different book based activities they've been completing throughout the week.
