Monday 22 July 2024 Y6 Leavers Disco The discos were amazing - all of the children had so much fun and were so well behaved! Our Year 6 children have done Moorlands proud and we will miss every single one of them. Good luck in your new schools!

Monday 22 July 2024 Tiny Dogs visit Moorlands! Year 1, 2 and 3 had a fantastic time meeting author illustrator Rose Lihou to hear all about her new series of books 'Tiny Dogs'. The children loved joining in with the draw-along session and had some great questions for the author!

Tuesday 16 July 2024 Year 1 and 2 visit Wellington Country Park Year 1 and 2 had a fantastic day enjoying the sunshine, visiting the animals and playing in the beautiful Wellington Country Park.

Tuesday 2 July 2024 Justin Somper - author visit Years 4, 5 and 6 had an afternoon of pirates awesomeness this afternoon when we were lucky enough to be visited by Justin Somper all the way from Australia! He was launching his new book series The Pirate Academy. We were all so proud of their amazing behaviour and fantastic questions. Some children were also lucky enough to get their own copies of the books signed by Justin! Remember, we've also got our pirate ship design competition where you can win a copy of one of Justin's books.

Friday 8 March 2024 M & M Theatre visit The children have loved having the theatre visiting us today for their performance of Alice in Wonderland!

Friday 15 December 2023 Mrs Jo Jacobs On Friday 8th December 2023, a much-loved member of our school community, Mrs Jo Jacobs passed away after fighting illness. After over 20 years working in our school she is going to be hugely missed by our staff, the children and the families she has worked with.

Monday 18 September 2023 Lu Fraser visits Moorlands! KS1 and Year 3 were excited today to welcome the author Lu Fraser to visit our school. They enjoyed learning about Lu and her books, plus quite a lot about yaks! We all loved hearing her new picture book: The Littlest Yak: Home is Where the Herd Is. Some of the children also got the opportunity to meet Lu so she could sign their copies of her book!

Monday 24 April 2023 Year 3 trip to the Lookout Year 3 had a great trip to the Lookout Discovery Centre in Bracknell, learning lots about Science, enjoying a great workshop and having super fun building dens in the woods!

Thursday 30 March 2023 KS1 storytime KS1 really enjoyed having a visit from the Get Reading Reading group to share the top 4 picture books nominated for the Children's Book Awards this week. They have loved reading and voting on lots of books over the year so far!

Thursday 10 November 2022 Choir at the Hexagon Our Moorlands choir did us proud at the Hexagon. The children sang their hearts out, their behaviour was amazing and we couldn't be prouder! Well done to all of the children involved - you are all superstars!
