Friday 15 December 2023 Mrs Jo Jacobs On Friday 8th December 2023, a much-loved member of our school community, Mrs Jo Jacobs passed away after fighting illness. After over 20 years working in our school she is going to be hugely missed by our staff, the children and the families she has worked with.

Monday 18 September 2023 Lu Fraser visits Moorlands! KS1 and Year 3 were excited today to welcome the author Lu Fraser to visit our school. They enjoyed learning about Lu and her books, plus quite a lot about yaks! We all loved hearing her new picture book: The Littlest Yak: Home is Where the Herd Is. Some of the children also got the opportunity to meet Lu so she could sign their copies of her book!

Monday 12 June 2023 Author Visit KS2 had a fantastic opportunity today to meet newly published author Carrie Sellon. They loved hearing about her new book "Pizza Pete and the Perillous Potions" - they asked lots of questions and had great fun inventing their own magical pizzas! There was then chance for the children to get their books signed after school.

Saturday 10 June 2023 Sports Day 2023 What a fantastic sports day we had! All of the children worked so hard and really made us proud of their sportsmanship, stamina and skills. Congratulations to the winning teams and to everyone for taking part!

Wednesday 7 June 2023 Year 4 - Trip to Ufton Court Year 4 had a fantastic day exploring the history of the Vikings and the Anglo Saxons in our local area.

Thursday 30 March 2023 KS1 storytime KS1 really enjoyed having a visit from the Get Reading Reading group to share the top 4 picture books nominated for the Children's Book Awards this week. They have loved reading and voting on lots of books over the year so far!

Thursday 10 November 2022 Choir at the Hexagon Our Moorlands choir did us proud at the Hexagon. The children sang their hearts out, their behaviour was amazing and we couldn't be prouder! Well done to all of the children involved - you are all superstars!
